2G Anyone grease/lube splines during clutch install?

I bought a used tranny and im replacing the clutch and the throw out bearing. I was wondering do i need to lube the input shaft?

Yes you should. Don't put an excessive amount though so it doesn't fling onto the clutch disk. Just a light coat

VERY light coat. Remember it may heat up. You don't want it drooling.

what type of grease should i use? is white lithium grease okay?
