Anyone else remember seeing an N/T guy or two that were running 264's in their engine? I remember seeing it once, and now I don't remember the names of the people. I also wanted to know if those people really felt a big increase in power, or saw one on a dyno? And also if they had to do any other modifications to get the turbo cam's to work well on the N/T's?

Im running a Turbo 5spd Intake cam, i really noticed no difference at all because i did my mods in stages so i never really felt much. the most difference i noticed was going from the stock pump to a turbo pump (140lph i believe) and going from the stock injectors too 450cc's....thats where i did notice some improvement...but it still runs rough at times...but hey, its a DSM.

How did you swap up to 450cc injectors??? And the fuel pumps should have been the same on the 2.0 and a 2.0 turbo, atleast from part numbers at where I work.

nope, different pumps...i thought about going to the supra pump but had a parts car that was a turbo laser that i yanked it out of. simple swap, just pop the old ones out and pop the new ones in, got one of those el cheapo advanced auto FPR's for the time being, it still runs a lil rich at times, but i deal with it

Actually, I work at an advance auto... and the listings for the laser rs and rs turbo are the same so long as you have the 2 inch diameter pump... like me =) stock.... I just want to know about the guys that ran the performance cams, the 264's and 272's in N/T's. I want to know if a 272 would give an N/T that same boost in the uppers like it would a Turbo. I would LOVE to know about the new 280's and how they would last in an N/T. I want to call up HKS's tech line and ask, but it costs money, and I am wasting... I mean, spending mine on some pulleys right now for the Laser.
