i have an hx40 with a bep housing and it creeps like a sob, i have to set the boost controller at 20psi in 1st gear to get 30psi at the top of 2nd and 3rd. has anyone ported the housing to fix creep? i use a tial 38mm on the o2

Sounds like an issue somewhere else in your setup, you've got plenty of wastegate going on. Have you verified the spring inside the Tial WG you've got on there and triple checked you vacuum lines?

+1 for checking vacuum lines.

From the reading I've done, I haven't heard of anyone else experiencing creep with these setups. It sounds like your wastegate isn't getting the pressure to open the spring (aka boost leak) and causing it to stay closed until you build up enough in the line.

no boost leak issues besides the normal drop during test from it passing by rings. i run a catless exhuast so im pretty sure it needs porting

I ran the same setup you have from what it sounds like and I was running up to 35psi without any problems...

When I had my Eclipse with an HX-40 I had the BEP bolt on housing with a cheap ebay o2 housing modified with an ebay tial 38mm knockoff wastegate recirculated. Without porting and just the large red spring the wastegate came with I could get boost down to 7lbs and hold it to redline. Porting is probably not an issue.

Why are you even doing WOT pulls when your FT's aren't even tuned yet at cruise? Forget about your wastegate issue for the moment and post a idle log of the car after its warmed up. Your CombinedFT's average +6% throughout the entire log and your TPS needs to be adjusted. It looks like you've done some work to the MAFComp section but your adjustments are to "choppy", those sliders need to be a nice linear transition from point to point.

I know none of the above will fix the boost creep issue but they'll make your a lot more driveable. Remove your boost controller completely and run the vacuum line straight from the IC pipe to the wastegate (bottom port) and leave the top port of the Tial open to atmosphere. The blue spring SHOULD hold it to 15psi.

My H1C in a bolton housing 02 mounted wastegate creeped to about 30. The hole is just too small. Do what it takes to your car so you can just run 30psi. 20psi is wimpy.

Dsm-onster and I both had the same ebay setup for wastegate off the o2 and neither of us had any type of boost creep whatsoever. Hole size should not be an issue.

That being said I'm all for making the wastegate hole as large as the wastegate and making the path to it easier, and it may correct the issue. However it may not fix the underlying problem.

Unless of course both dsm-onster and I had one off housings that were boost creep free.

+1 run straight off the wastgate and see if it stops at 15psi.

ive hooked the vacumm line straight to the wastegate before and it holds 15 til 5k then starts to creep up 20 or so, ill try porting it, it wont hurt

i just said fudge it and turned up the boost controller 2 turns and got it to stable out at the track 2 weekends ago. heres my 120mhp pass( pump gas and 9* of timing)
