Boost creep issues w/ext. gate

Mods in profile. I've had these boost creeping issues ever since I installed this turbo setup. Its a Holset HX-35 with the bolt on Bullseye housing. I also bought the flange on the outlet side and had a 3" o2 elim. downpipe made with provisions to mount my 40mm knockoff ebay/hks wastegate. The wastegate is dumped to the ground. I've tried numerous springs in the gate and all seem to let the gate creep. 15 psi spring creeps to 20 and my 20 psi spring creeps to 25. Boost source for the wastegate is tapped off the licp. Anyone have any suggestions, or why this is happening?
 
I know people who have ran these with internal wastagates and have not had bost creep.

Would you have a picture of your O2 housing? I would like to see the design of it.

Other than that I would guess that it might have something to do with your external wastegate.

There is one more thing that you could do. The wastegate port in the BEP housing. Port it out more.

Here's a few pics of the custom o2 elim. downpipe. Its 3" right off the turbo feeding into a slip fit connection under the oil pan into the downpipe. Cost me $150 and its all mandrel. :) Is it possible I may need to open up the wastegate hole in the turbine housing more ? I mean the housing comes std with a 38mm internal and I opened it up a bit, but not as big as the piston in my ext. wastegate....

I'm sure you did your homework before making the purchase, but what are the overall impressions of knock-off external 'gates? My initial reaction would be to look somewhere else other than the waste gate first.

A touch of more porting may not be a bad idea in your circumstance. How large was the original WG hole, and approximately how much did you grind out?
 
I've seen so many local honda guys using ebay knockoff products with succes it makes me sick. I got this gate used from a local for $40 and it seems to hold closed when needed, but its creeping up and pissing me off.

The turbine housing from Bullseye uses a std 38mm internal, but I opted to go external, because I wanted no chance or creep :notgood: I ported everything on the 02 elim. downpipe to the gasket, its all matched up. The only thing I didn't do much prt work on was the wastegate hole on the turbine housing. I figured since it was rather large to begin with I wouldn't have any problems.

I guess I'll pull the turbo this weekend and get out the die grinder and go all out this time....
