Has anyone with the Holset/bullseye turbine housing experienced boost creep? I have tried 2 actuators and have added a TIAL BOV and cannot keep the boost to 20PSI. Can't keep it to 25PSI actually!! Both actuators were from AGP turbo's. I still have the Holset actuator to try but if that doesn't help....anyone had this trouble with their Holset? Mark

I haven't had any issues with mine yet. Internally gated HX40, using a mitsu 16g actuator. I can maintain as low as 9-10 lbs with the boost controller backed all the way off. This is on a 8.3:1 2.4l stroker with a stock 2g head and manifold. I'm not able to run 18+psi yet because of my current fuel setup though.

I have the same issues. In high altitudes I would creap to almost 27 PSI by 8500 RPM. Would spike to 25-27 PSI settle down to 19-20 and start creeping at around 6500 RPM. I used a 10 lbs actuator off a RX-7 hopeing to maybe help. It's the TH. It's just to small. I'm going to go to a Full T4 H1E instead of the HX-35 and just sell this turbo I think. I think with a large external wastegate you can control creep. I have a 44mm Tial that I'm just waiting on a DNP manifold for.

I've treid 3 actuators. I could handle 25+psi if my TIAL would but then I get ther surge/flutter issue with a stiffer spring. I already have a DNP manifold but it's not designed for an external. Could go bACK TO MY 60-1 BUT REALLY LIKE THE hOLSET. ???

You could get a performance shop to cut a hole in the number1 runner and have them TIG weld a Tial 38mm stainless steel flange onto the manifold. In theory, external wastegates perform best when mounted off the collector but I've seen many successful setups with the wastegate on the cyl 1 runner. This should give you rock solid boost control, and increased top end power due to higher exhaust flow.

Guys my 02 housing is a well ported EVO3 by Buschur with a 3" exhaust with a dynomax 3" bullet as a resonator flowing into a Magnaflow, 3" in with dual 3" outlets.
I have not yet done any porting as In live in central, NY and my driving season will come to an end within 6 weeks. Then I hAVE ALL WINTER TO DO SOME PORTING. I HAVE CHECKED SOME LINKS TO PORTING AND CAN SEE WITH A 60-1 I HAVE WITH THE SAME TURBINE HOUSING HOW I CAN EASE THE 90* ANGLE TO A MUCH SMOOTHER TRANSISTION. Excuse the caps!
On a positive note my cAR SUDDENLY IS CAPABLE OF RUNNING 27/28PSI WITH MINIMAL MISFIRE AND MINIMAL TUNING. There is hope for my Holset afterall but strangly I am not sure why!! I changed the plugs today though the ones I replaced had only 1000 miles on them, that and 1 ignition wire. Still coming close to 30PSI is a bit much for reaching on a regular basis! I will port the turbine come winter. Mark

Follow this one here, different turbo but same concept. The key is in exposing the wastegate entrance to exhaust flow in the turbine inlet, I also did this to my sbr gt12 and it worked. Hope it will work for you as well.
