Anyone bought a motor online before?

Pulled the motor out of my car maybe 4 months ago and removed the head. Connecting rod for cyl 1 broke in half. It's been down for so long waiting for me to get parts and rebuild it but it'll be faster to get it back on the road if I bought one from the Internet. Slowboy racing has a lot of negative feedback from what I've seen so was thinking about maperformance. Anyone with any good things to say about them on their short blocks?

Which company would probably be better to go with? I was looking at the stage 1 shortblock with the mahle pistons and eagle rods cause I read up some interesting stuff on the weisco pistons. No looking to send in a core so I can still build the block I already have. I can also take the front assembly off including the oil pump and bs assembly to save cash. Regular broke guy on a budget without a lot of time.

I would highly recommend DSM Graveyard.

I've seen an engine from Jackson and let's just say it wasn't running anymore.

They can be thermal as well, such as solid rocket boosters, even thermostats (wax and copper dust motor). Yet ... Detroit is called "Motor City". People have been using the term wrong since almost the very beginning. Whoops...

Just a word of caution... I have a motor from Jackson Auto Machine. they are HORRIBLE and I will NEVER work with them again. They screwed me out of THOUSANDS of dollars when I was rebuilding my motor. This also includes informing me that I had a broken crank so they "threw it away", a few days later a "welded" 4g63 7 bolt crank went up on their used parts for sale.... -_-... Do NOT work with them.

Noted on that site. Ima talk to the guys at maperformance and talk to the dsm graveyard guys. Really need the 1g on the road. The 2g is breaking down and it needs to be worked on.

I am pretty sure nobody welds broken crank shafts, if they do there idiots.
