So whats up Fellas? You guys want to all get together for this next Qualcomm RaceLegal coming up? Lets see if we can have a nice turn out. Alex (Verge) is supposed to race, Corey (gofer) too. Rego and Juan are usually down to go, but lets get a couple of other heads there. Cruise to go eat after... Del Taco, Dennys whatever. What do you guys think?

I'll be there, Oct. 22nd I think it is. Kris and I ran a quick BLT and couldn't figure out where I was leaking until I covered the bov and it stopped. That HKS is a P.O.S., doing the BLT it was opening up at just 5psi so its no wonder I was backfiring and sputtering down the track.

New one's on order and should be at the doorstep next week, if I get it installed I'll be running the car for sure. If not well, I guess I'd always be down to race Alex and beat him with a BAD boost leak... haha.

In but not to race, I don't think it will be ready and broken in yet. I still need to do check the Bolognia Lettuce and Tomato on my car. Doing an oil change today at 500 mi still going with Castrol GTX 10/40 for the break in period. Verge u ever fix that oil leak? or should I ask Rigo to fix it for you with a hammer and chissle ### I wouldnt drive a car with oil squirting your timing belt power ranger.

Really, its a POS huh? I thought this BOV was supposed to be the only one that doesn't leak... I thought it was self sealing with the systems own pressure. Damn Corey, you probably be hanging out with Alex to much and started buying that hack stuff that Alex's family be smuggling from TJ!!!!

Just dropped off a buddy at base, cruising back on the 15 i hear a wierd noise but couldnt tell if it was another car or mine bc it was on the interstate, pretty loud. Bout the next half mile engine shuts off and no cranking power now. It was night and i wasnt too comfortable being under the hood right there, but i checked the oil and nothing on the stick, not good, just put some in the other day. So my car is chilling right under the 163 underpass, anyone have any advice what i should do? I live in El Cajon so i dont know if i should have it towed to my house or to the auto hobby shop on base. Or does anyone know of a good shop to get it towed to?

Damn bud... sucks... I don't know of any shops... So you have no idea what it could be? I know you were just changing out the alternator right, you say there is no cranking power like a dead battery? or feels like its turning really heavy due to no oil? Did you try putting oil in it and trying to start it? Was it overheating at all? A friend of mine has a tow truck and can maybe help with the tow... of course he will charge but I mean he's cool and might make it a little more affordable. Let me know if I can help.

i added oil a couple days ago and checked the stick, nothing on it now, obviously not good. No power issues, all lights and everything come on no problem, not over heating, any help would be appreciated, i just dont know where to tow it. if i tow to my house ill get bitched at for working on it and plus i dont even have tools or the knowledge to go that in depth with engine issues

Sucks but IMO you should get it towed onto base and dropped off in the OUTSIDE parking lot of the Auto Hobby shop. It doesn't cost to park it there for a few days by those storage sheds and you can at least get an idea of what happened to it. When it comes time to work on it that parking lot is level so pushing it into one of those stalls to get it off its wheels would be cake too.

Just my 2 psi and if you do this I wouldn't have a problem swinging through Monday, even tomorrow since I'll be on base, to at least look at it and let you know if I see anything.

Everytime you guys arrange to meet up I am never able to show, Nimitz pulls out for the weekend on Friday, go figure.

Since I wont have any money to fix It any time soon I'm just gonna have it towed to my buddies barracks parking lot by the hub, I'll have to diagnose it from there and see what happens

So i towed the car to the barracks parking lot, right across from the armory. Wierd thing, theres a lot of oil around the front case. From the drive on the tow truck to unloading, there was already a 10" radius puddle of oil. I havent a clue whats going on, not sure when ill have time to check it out, more fun times.

Well i havent had a chance to even investigate the car, was gonna do it this weekend. Well guess who was told today they have to go to the Nimitz for the next week. Yea me. So car will sit there and i will know nothing until at least next month.

Its a REAL track thats prepped for traction and time boards so you know what everyone's running. I was going to go to racelegal tonight and run (I fixed the backfire) but I'd rather go to a track and see what the car can really do.

I'm headed to Barona tomorrow around 7am and Alex is headed up there as well. It would be sweet to get a few other DSM's up there running, hopefully we see a few of you there.

Well I can thank none of you for showing up Alex didn't even get there until 12:30 which was AFTER test n' tune was over! I felt like a jerk for leaving the second you showed up Alex but I promised Lisa out by 12:30 and down the mountain by 1:00...

The results were good and I recommend everyone to upgrade their bov to a Tial Q, mine took .7 seconds off of my 1/8th mile.

First run IAT's were low right around 85* and my shift points were 1st 7.2k, 2nd 7.8k, 3rd I never got out of because its a short track. Second run IAT's were higher at 110* and I moved my shift points to 8k in first and second, I'm not sure if my slower trap speed my second run was from my shift points or the higher IAT's though.

Probably because it was my first time racing there, they give you a number card before you tech so your number never changes.

Haha, i was completely hammered and the night went on, I think we went to like 2 more bars after. Good times, should have followed me and mobbed it with us. Funny I don't remember a lot of things from the night but i do remember running into you on my way out of whatever bar I saw you at!!!!
