Have any of you guys heard about Jason and E-mance tuning?
He has a shop in Santee and specializes in dyno tuning Nissan and DSM.
I met him the other day at work and was wondering if any of you know about him or his work. I am interested in him tuning my car when I am done with the build.

Jason is a cool dude, besides working on my DSM's I work on Datsun 510's. I know his car and a lot of my buddies cars are tuned by him, and they have numbers to prove his tunes... All my friends would recommend him, and I to have thought about having him tune my car. I have not met a person with a DSM he has tuned, but he definitely shows nice work on the KA and SR engine setups I have seen.

The shop he Dyno's at is a stand up place, usually working till late hours of the night... been there on various occasions.

Yesterdays results were great, unfortunately Kris wasn't able to take his 1g up because of a few parts not coming in the mail and I sorta left him hanging Friday night so we didn't get it together in time. There were at least a dozen DSM's up there from LADSM and I know of at least five of us clicked off personal best times. I'm going to post there times as well just in case any of you know them from the ladsm.com website or from MOD...
  • Hugo (boosted_laser) - 11.4 @ 124mph (he did it twice so they kicked him off the track because he didn't have a roll cage).
  • Sam (illeagle) - 12.03 @ 120mph
  • Dustin (red97rum) - 11.6 @ 127mph
  • Frank (awdmonster) - 12.5 @ 120mph
  • Corey (gofer) - 12.07 @ 116mph

I ran my best run on my second pass so I was thinking I had a few more runs to drop it into the 11's. On my third pass I got up on my two-step at the tree and my car rolled through the light because the clutch was still engaged even with the pedal to the floor. I'm hoping its the hydraulic's and not a pressure plate or clutch failing, that would suck. I decided not to take it down the track again since Kris and I both needed a ride back to San Diego which is 110 miles south. On the way home my car clicked over to 100,000 miles which was awesome and sad to watch, we were waiting for it to fall apart when it did it. LOL

Nice work Corey, glad to see a DSM i know in person is kicking some serious ass... Looking good bud.:thumb:

Some bastard in his work crane driving down the freeway forgot to strap his tools down, flying down they go and I clip a huge pulley that comes flying at my car. I was merging on the freeway and nothing i could do about it... needless to say there goes my rim... My car being so low and the tire flat gave me about a inch and a half of clearence and was quite the adventure to install my spare. Truck kept driving so thats that. There goes more money thrown away to pointless shit that dont improve the car :banghead:

Thanks to Alex and his jack we were able to make this happen at 4am! Whats with both of us havng flat spares?!!! haha

Imagine this pulley about 2 feet long and 10 inches wide.Weight being about 40-50 pounds.

Too bad it didn't have a property tag on it, but most of those cranes are rental properties.

have you checked everything else? im telling you i don't think my car can pull yours from a ditch

Yeah, my axle is definitly rubbing on the lower part of my shock now just under where its held. My steering rack seems to be leaking fluid out of the passenger side boot, the axle boot is badly torn. I called my insurance and filed a claim, hopefully that turns out alright and have them fix it. For right now though, car for the first time in 2 years is not drivable.:sosad:

wtf that sux Rene
thats some bs
what kind of truck carries cranes that big around that hour?

Yeah it really is messed up that my car went down like that... It was one of the big Crane Utility trucks that like at&t uses or sdge... Just my luck though, story of my life!!! haha :barf:

All I need now is for Rego to get his Talon running so I can grab the loaner GSX!!! Rigo's Rent-a-Car, in memory of our DSM buddy Mike!

Sorry to hear all that man, I had a close encounter on the 8 west last week that could have had similar results but I lucked out. A landscape truck dropped one of those metal rakes with the spikes up, I centered it on the car and heard it hit the exhaust and luckily it didn't shoot out under a tire.

Those black Evo wheels just weren't meant to be on that car I guess?

:dsm:

Ouch, that sucks... So i will prob be going to Pick Your Part on Sat, gonna look for some good deals hopefully and maybe get lucky to get that soft top bracket finally... anyone else gonna be there fighting for parts?

Hey does anyone have a non eprom or eprom ecu for my 91 Tsi AWD. It's manual and federal. Thanks.

man there was nothing at the pick your part, found a couple 1gs in the non primo section, looked like the 4g63, but non turbo... and all the 2g in the primo were 420a, at least i was able to fix my windsheild sprayers

So for th last 2 weeks I was replacing my water pump and timing belt on my 2g, in the process of taking off the timing belt cover it broke, so I was able to go to jnztuning.net and order a new one which took only 3 days to get here so that was great, first time I attempted to put the timing belt and water pump in the oring for the water pump wasn't sealing so I leaked 1/2 gallon of coolant straight out ofthr water pump. Second attemp the timing belt tensioner wasn't torqued properly so it sprung loose when I cranked the car over, I was able to shut my car off before anything bad had happened, 3rd attempt was a complete success! Timing belt, water pump, oil pump belt, power stearing belt and timing belt tensioner were all replaced! If anyone needs help doing this, please ask me..... On the third attempt I had my pulley assembly ripped apart and back together in about an hr. It's a pretty easy task to do if you know what your doing. Once all that was replaced.... The next day my clutch slave cylinder went out, but that was cake to replace. Now after 2 weeks my car is back on the road!

So i just got back off of leave and i forgot to unhook my battery. The car has been sitting close to three months and now no juice. I have the the new altenator, but i dont have enough tools to do the job. Normally this is like a 30min job as long as fitment issues arent too hard...so.......anyone wanna make a quick 20$ and some beer? Basically all i need to do is remove the tensior bolt and the very bottom bolt, pull it out then put the new one in...........:rocks:anyone anyone?

i dont have hardly anything....other than a 12 open ended wrech,,,,someone jacked most of my stuff. just tryin to get it done before i have to go to work tomorow
