Japanese very rusty? LOL wires need to be plugged in and gauge in the cluster has to be working. thats all to it? maybe you have to modify the factory speed sensor if its a different type of signal etc to work with the transmission and the gearing in the sensor.

Yeah man I would be pretty stoked if I was you right about now LOL pinching myself making sure its real. hahah I know of only one other big turbo, built RB26DET in an oldschool 240 locally pushing over 500 wheel. That thing just spins its slicks down the ricer parkinglot AKA Racelegal.

A 500hp car that cant put the power to the ground will get beat by a 400hp car that can...

Yeah thank fully the suspension is pretty well upgraded with Megan everything...I've got put together a list of stuff that's on this baby. I'm going down to where the pro drifters play after work today I'm sure they would love to help me pick out everything done...LOL
 
we have a 1998 gsx in our shop, it has a 2g head and a 1g intake manifold is that a good idea? I think they said it has a 1g bottom end.
 
yes, it is a good idea to produce a wall of turbulance at the end of the intake plenum and hinder performance unless the head was match ported to the 1g intake head diameter.

Yikes ...LOL why would they do that? unless they ported it and did it correctly... did they run out of parts LOL
 
Who knows? Ive seen horrific stuff done to local DSMs but I just bust a 180 and not make it my problem. Anyway check out no.11 here Complete RB25DET swap into a 240sx s13 Register to that forum and do some searching. The people I know with 240s don't use the factory ECU or factory gauges. The only one I know that does use the factory gauge cluster also has a standalone but the speedo doesn't work, i think it has everything to do with the T56 transmission it is using. Start a new favorites folder for all the info you find and save ECU pinouts and diagrams. They are a must.

I miss thailand so im looking to do a tranny tonight anyone got any suggestions. craigslist maybe?

here is the plan.
1. wings N things
2. take out the tranny
3. let the tranny sit on my chest. thats sit not shit even though both may be interesting
4. secure the tranny in my garage to be abused at a later date.
5. await for derek to tell me his storys of the tranny abuse.
6. fondal memories

-3,900 miles RB25DET motorswap with RB trans and RB engine crossmember
-R act racing clutch
-koyo aluminum radiator
-one piece driveshaft
-full exhaust system by Megan racing
-Megan racing tension rods
-tomei racing fuel pump
-konig gold rims
-Silvia front end with carbon fiber hood
-welded rear end
-Custom FMIC
- Race Engineering Coolant res.
 
So still stock suspension-wise?

Nope, just don't know what they are yet LOL they might just be painted but I'm going to have a few others look at it and see what all has been done. The handling is amazing and driving with the rear end welded is actually pretty fun

On a separate note anyone interested in a apexi ws2 catback? Im buying a downpipe and the the guy wants to throw in the catback for 125 if someone will take it.
 
Just wait until it rains, you might incorporate a toilet seat so when you shit your pants from a 65mph slide you don't make a mess. Sounds like a fun car though, I've always liked the S15s.

Just did it :D yes it was fun and scary but I pulled it off beautifully ... just a turtle head no a full on shitting the pants though :thumb: those damn off ramps... Speedo doesn't work but I was going pretty fast LOL this will end up looking like a s15 when I'm done ... I wanted the s13 K series for the 300lbs less so it's really 150lbs less because the RB25 adds 150lbs more so I figured it would still be a nice weight reduction over all.

I already have my plan for exhaust you know that.

hey ogamigst(jason), my bro and my friend chris doom at deeps garage can do anything you want with that engine and car, also your car wont make 500rwhp yet it does have the potential to make that. it is a inline 6 cylinder equivalent to the supra 2jz inline 6, but your rb25 will give you enough horse power to drift close to 300rwhp with more potential later which is what you wanted, do you have some stiff suspension and a welded diff or lsd to get you sideways. also a popular website for 240sx cars alike is zilvia.com
