Hey I just got my gvr4 road worthy -ish
I was wondering if there was a meet tonight.
Isn't there one every Wednesday?

Thanks
Colin.

I think the Oceanside DSM'rs were doing a meet every Wednesday but it might have died out.

Augustin, Kris has the 2g A/T radiator so if you need it before Friday you can come down to his place in Mira Mesa to pick it up.

:dsm:

I guess we're all just too busy getting ready for MOD LOL

Perfect, thanks a lot man :)

I thought there was one at the dave and busters every week

But I might have been mistaken, I Am ALSO getting ready for MOD just drove my car about 80 miles today for the first time and it stil running a bit funky. And have a new oil leak.

ALSO if I may add a question what causes to lean out under WOT?

Next meet prob won't be till MoD man. How many pounds of boost are u runnin?

9psi on the stock BCS. I switched to my friends 2g maf this morning and used a MBC and got 5psi some times but it spiked higher so I try not boost really (also cause its leans out).

I'm afraid to touch anything on link that has to do with important things, But my injduty20.3% at WOT (actually at 96% percent throttle). But that can't be to accurate I'll get. ACTUAL WOT

To richen it up,
Do I Use the global fuel adjustment? Or would I manually go threw and adjust the sliders for each rpm?
Also I'm Locked in Open loop

we should probably re-adjust your tps. And you on the corn juice yet or still tuning on 91

I pretty sure when using 2g MAF's you need to have something to compensate for that. thats prob why your leaning out man.

Neither. You need to adjust your MAFComp (Hz) sliders so the ECU can get correct airflow readings. Heres a write-up to follow to make the adjustments, theres a bit of math involved so I hope you've got a calculator handy.

Are you running the stock front o2 sensor or did you replace it with your WB? If you replaced it with your WB you need to simulate the narrowband signal using ECMLink or else you'll remain "locked" in open loop.

:dsm:

The car never changed after the 2g maf install, I thought all you had to do was switch the setting from stock to 2g maf.
But I'll read that link.

I simulated the WB but when it shows on the datalog it doesent read accurately at all
And I plugged the stock o2 sensor in and I threw CEL 0012 twice.
Also I got knock everytime I boost more than 5lbs.

I'll make a thread in the correct forum and post a log if anyone wants to look, probly sometime later tomarrow.

I Appreciate all the advice so far thanks everyone.

(Also I need to change my profile if anyone looked)

i run simulated narrow band. it looks like a digital signal of on and off in the graph. iether way during cruise the widband shows the car cycling back and forth as it should.

if your running 1600cc injectors with 91... 20% would be fine at WOT LOL. i'm going to guess that isnt the case however?

I had also thought that just slapping in a 2g maf and you were done with ECM link...

I created a new event in our San Diego County Forum, heres a link to it. Mitsubishi Owners Day (M.O.D.) 2011

Please read carefully that way there is no confusion as to what time everyone is meeting up, if you plan on going add your name to the list.

So it's been a while since Corey got me the pics but I'm going to pot them up in my profile later today, let's hope the sizes come out... Then I will let you guys vote on which my profile pic should be

This is last minute but I'm going to it with my Porsche friend and thought I'd invite other DSM's to join if you don't have plans tomorrow night. Fallbrook is doing a Hot Summer Nites car show from 5pm to Sundown TOMORROW (Friday, June 10th) and its FREE.

800x600.

:dsm:

with 700 pixels wide, all the pics you sent me Corey, will turn into 469x700 (it is height/width right?)

Now that i have figured out what i was becoming lost on, all my pics are posted, there are like 20 of them now... so please try not to be overwhelmed by the absolute beauty of my car, but now i will be taking votes on which should be my profile pic

I vote that you go through your photo gallery and delete the double posted pictures. :D I suggest the below picture for your avatar though...

Hey Augustin, did you come down yesterday and get that radiator? Just keep an eye on that upper inlet neck, I don't want it breaking on you and leaving you stranded.

gotta serious question for some of you...

i did not know about the EGT line not being able to drive certain sensors... could this have killed my map sensor?

worked 100% perfectly for literally 1-2 days and now it reads 20.5-20.6 psi at all times, if i remove the sensor from the plug it obviously reads 0 volts meaning 29.xx psi.

it was a 3 bar map from a autometer guage ( GM 3 bar map )

5v from tps, ground to batt and signal to egt.....

Lol, sadly none of them were double posted Corey, they all have diff pic names, i think you sent me the multiples of the ones you took... but going to look into them right now

Oh i know why some of them are duplicates... i remember you telling me how you wanted to try and merge 2 or 3 different shots into 1 to make them HD looking.... hmmm

Your post was a bit confusing so I'll post this again, you might already have done this though?
5v from the RED wire, continuity to ground across the WHT wire, and 4.4v on the BLU/YEL (signal) wire with the sensor disconnected. If the 4.4v increases when you plug in the MAP then the sensor is bad...

That and you'll notice some have different lighting if I played with the original. I sent you both that way you could pick which one you liked more.

:dsm:

ah ok... i will go through and delete some of the Dupes.... whats the pixels for the perfect avatar size?

sorry about that, i havnt checked voltages yet because the battery was dead in my multi meter however according to ecmlink

( GM 3 bar map )
sensor plugged in log shows 20.5-20.6 psi
sensor unplugged 29 psi

this does not change if the car is started or moving with the sensor plugged in.

I'm going to assume that the sensor is dead but want to check voltages first

the reason i asked is because i have the 3 bar map wired into the EGR egt wire which has been known not to be able to drive some sensors ( AEM WB for example ). i was just curious if any one else had ever heard of wiring the map into that location has ever killed the sensor.

im basically attempting to avoid plugging in a new sensor and killing it also.

Sensor is wired:

5v from TPS red/grn
gnd to battery ground
signal to EGR EGT to ecu ( probe unplugged obviously )

hey Corey are you driving your car to the Hot Summer Nites thing?
