Ok I'm a newb go figure, well to DSM's really. I've built a few engines the last being a 89 MK3 Supra so the tuner part isnt new to me. My question is just to be safe how do the cam gears and head need to be set up after a busted timing belt rebuild. Ive just recently aqcuired a 96' Eagle Talon TSI AWD that had a blown timing belt while running about 60 mph down the highway. The head was FUBAR'D so I bought a new one from a member here. The pistons are in good shape so I had the new head checked out and everythings good to go just need to have someone help me out with the placement of the cams for the install. Im assumeing that the cam dowel pins need to be straight up and the block at TDC before I torque down the head to spec to install the timeing belt. I really want to be sure as cash for another head rebuild isnt in the picture at this moment and time. If Im just over thinking this let me know Im up for any advice to be given. Oh and I have been reading for days, so all the info is a little confuseing until I put my hands on it for the first time. Ive been laid up with a broken foot and my dad and brother are helping with the rebuild.
thanks
