Background:
Alright guys i have a bit of a dilema. Right now im on 15 psi creeping to about 20-22psi. Now heres a little background on whats been happening. I used to have a small 16g but my tuner suggested i go with the e316g cause hes seen less problems with creep. I figured what the hell its a better turbo and has seen great results. So i purchase one and toss it on. Still creeping. I then get an o2 dump. Still creeping. I go to a locals house and he has an adjustable wg that we throw on and open the flapper as far as it will got. Yup, still creeping. So now im left with porting. Ive read that people have gotten rid of creep by porting and some that have failed. As you can see ive messed around with the turbo a bit and i kinda wanna wash my hands of it and just be done with it.

Short version:
So what im looking at right now are 2 choices. Go with an external wg setup of some sort or i was also looking into meth inj. to compensate for the higher boost lvls. What do you guys think?

No offense, but your tuner is a complete moron. Five minutes of research will prove the Evo III 16G to be the absolute worst turbo for boost creep in stock form on cars with little-to-no exhaust restriction.

I just installed an Evo III 16G that I ported myself on a friend's car last month. At first he was on the stock injectors and wanted to keep the boost at 10psi until he upgraded. With an o2 dump installed, the porting and the o2 dump held his boost rock-steady at 10psi with no modification to the actuator's arm travel. This was on a 2G GST with a very straight 3" turbo-back that swept under the rear axle.

The porting effectively opened the wastegate hole to the max with a 34mm flapper installed, and I ported the inlet of the turbine housing slightly to direct the airflow toward the wastegate hole.

I had terrible boost creep on my 14B because of my 3" exhaust. I ported the crap out of the housing and still crept, bought an O2 dump and its gone.

So between O2 dump and porting, the creep should go away, if not, go external.

Good like about porting here

A simple search brings up tons on the subject.

damn...Justin beat me already.

Yes i have searched and read plenty on the subject. I dont have the tools nor do i really trust myself with porting. I have read DIY on it and it looks simple enough but id rather have a professional do it if you understand. So porting would cost money that i could put towards meth. inj or external wg that i could use in the future if i wanted to upgrade. I will admit i have thought of getting the thing ported but i would have my tuner do it and i dont completly trust him. I have had suggestions from him in the past that have ended up blowing up in my face. So thats my reasoning for that.

So what I'm understanding is your "tuner" is useless, and you're afraid to learn. The only advice I can give in good confidence is to sell your car. If you won't do that, fix the creep, don't put a meth band aid on it.

LOL Im not afraid to learn. If I was I wouldnt be on this site nor would I have gotten as far with the car as I have. Thanks for that advice but if you dont have anything constructive to say id rather you not post at all.
