Ok i've done my research so please don't say "search". I know that a 2 1/2 " downpipe with a high flow cat to a 3" catback is best to prevent boost creep, of course porting the o2 housing also. My question is what if i went with a 3" downpipe to a 3" non high flow cat to 3" catback. The reason i'm asking is because i have a 3" downpipe already and can get a great deal on a new 3" cat. I plan on getting my exhaust done at a local shop with a magnaflow muffler. I don't really want to spend the extra money to buy a new downpipe, and a high flow cat if i don't have to. It's the 3" downpipe that concerns me, i kinda think i'll get boost creep with it, even with the non high flow cat, what do you guys think? thanks in advance.

well i can tell you this I have a full 2.5" system and a very open 02 housing and i still creep so im pretty sure either way you go about it you will get boost creep. Get whatever exhaust you want. Boost creep can be handled by other means. If you want to have be must unrestrictive just forget a cat and throw a testpipe on. If you want emissions then get a 3" cat.
