Regular powder coating should be fine. It's the turbine housing that would be the issue and I would suggest ceramic coating that instead of powder coating it.

blcknspo0ln has it right actually, the powder coat more than likely wouldn't hold up to the temperatures on the compressor housing.

My compressor cover powdercoat has dulled over time :( especially near the top where its closest to the manifold. Perhaps the JMF heatshield is directing heat right at it

It's just the heat period. Anything that is powder coated around the turbo/exhaust manifold area is going to dull no matter what you do. What I try to do is clear coat any parts that I powder coat and know will be near that kind of heat. This helps some with the dulling effect that heat has.....

Damn so my waterpipe is going to dull?!?!?! :|

I know we're suppose to make a blog about these threads but im done and just going to show pics so i didnt see the effort into making a blog about it. Sorry :coy:

so how bad is it with no power steering? BTW it turned out great, very nice job. I'll be waiting for a write-up:thumb:

Not bad as i thought, you get use to it pretty quick other than when your moving 1-3mph

It looks great! Your timing belt looks a little old doesn't it?

Yea i ordered an HKS Timing belt along with a few other parts so ill show another pic when im done ;)

Awesome work, i love the rims, what paint was used? Good work on the engine bay.

Thanks!
Cheapo autozone duplicolor rim paint. Looked good at first till they start to fade out...

Damn, and I thought I was the only one doing a purple color.

I LOVE the motor mounts, were they powdercoated? If you ever decide to sell them, hit me up.

Mind games...you don't want those wheels...you don't want those wheels...you don't want those wheels...end mind games.

Really though, aside from the color and small lip...those are knockoffs of mine. You don't want to show up to the meets in the slower car with matching wheels do you? :D
What did you do with those 950's? That should give me enough injector for that Mustang, need them for 30 minutes total. ;)

Which reminds me, I need to come see this in person instead of scattered about the carport.

This is the side you'll most be seein

Blinker switch is being used now. You say you need something around these cars and it breaks on the working car. :notgood:

Tonight,

Why dont you come out and play with that mustang :sneaky:

Cause I have a full tank of that damn 93 octane, and we both know that the 20psi I'm limited to won't be enough. I guess a loss would finally get me in his buddies video though!

Explain the ninja edit...:sneaky:

Tonight, but im not plannin on runnin till i get some of the new stuff i ordered ;)

Thanks, ive seen your avatar pic before and looks pretty badass. Any pics of your bay?

Ill be making another project thread for re-wiring ECU/Fusebox Harness but this time for my friends 1g :sneaky:
