I need a new radiator and and didn't see any reviews. I want to know if there is any difference between aluminum radiators or is it just a brand preference?

I see Mishimoto, Koyo, CX Racing, Fluidyne, and ebay...

Which do you have and what are your thoughts?

I run a Mishimoto and got it about 3 weeks ago. It's one of their 2 row radiators.

Before I installed the radiator my temps would run high some days running back and fourth on the freeway. Now, once it gets up to temp it will stay there all day long, up hill, down hill, AC, etc.

My car is still stock other than the radiator but i'm definitely glad that I bought it. I got mine on a deal with hoses as well, and basically paid the price of the radiator for both Hoses and Rad.

ive been running a mishimoto and i have no complaints at all!

agreed. i've had mine about a year now, and love it. especially knowing they have a lifetime warranty.. i had a koyo before and their warranty only covers up until you run it for the first time (like that even really helps).

Fluidyne; a piece of artwork in the bay and rock solid temps for my stroker in any temperature.

A little pricy but I wanted no problems rejecting the extra heat from all of the engine mods on even the hottest day.

+1
The installation of my Punishment/CX radiator with dual fans and shroud was super-easy. The mounting tabs lined up perfectly and the radiator dropped right in. After being used for about a year now, my car has not everheated once and I haven't had a single leak even with a 1.3 bar (19 psi) radiator cap installed. It's been worth every penny spent.

Same here, love my cxracing radiator with fans and shroud, and for the price, it's amazing.

Any new updates?

My 2g with evo3 and fmic gets hot on the highway with the ac on or when its 90+ outside.

Thinking mishimoto, any advise on fans?

stock fans if you can fit em... otherwise, spal or fal

I agree! The stock fans work really well. Slim fans, regardless of the brand (unless you get the expensive ones and then they aren't really that slim), generally flow less then the stock fans. I switched from the PR/CX slim fan back to the stock main fan and it helped a lot with my cooling. I still run a slim fan on the driver's side though.

Mishimoto is nice. I have one, new in box, that I never installed due to a manufacturing defect. It's not quite "square". :D I'm sure it's still useable, I just haven't found a use for it yet. I ended up going with a PWR radiator instead. I re-used my 2 slim-fans, both wired together and wired with an override switch, per the VFAQ instructions. I coupled that with STM's aluminum radiator brackets. One thing I noticed with the aluminum radiators, the entire front support gets really freaking hot. Coolant temps stay down, though.

I have a aluminum radiator I bought from ebay for something to the tune of $200..

looks awesome but I keep chasing my tail with my engine temps..

I thought I would upgrade my Rad due to my FMIC, but ever since I got it have had nothing but issues

because the aluminum rad is so much thicker then the OEM I switched to slim fans (nobrands)

I thinking of switching back to OEM...

What happen to your dsm my dreamt dsm why is it dead now didn't you have great compression.

You're right. As soon as I installed the 16g on. I drove the car home. I guess from the rad being dry after being prolong in liquid. The radiator hose that connects to the top hose got brittle and crack.
So my car is dead until the rad gets in.

I saw lots of people say how fast it is to and how it only takes like 15 minutes to replace and how the longest part is draining the old rad.... am I the only one who took a while to install my slim fans due to the electrical plugs being different than the OEMs??? LOL I got mine from punishment racing, rad and slim fans. took me about an hour to do the switch

Does anyone know who makes Mizu radiators?
I bought one and actually have some overheating issues,
VRSF core...FP manifold and no heat shields on downpipe or o2 housing. I'll be wrapping my downpipe and housing this week and see if that helps.
