I bought a 91 Laser RS.
The battery is a month old, and the alternator looks bran new. Guy says he just put it in.
It all started when my windows stopped working unless the car was on, then my radio died, then my cruise control shut off, then a tail light went out, and now the car won't hold it's charge.

I tested the alternator & battery. I fully charged the battery and it ran for a couple hours, lights dimmed and the car shut off on the freeway. Then I tested the alternator, it says that it is getting 0 Voltage. But it's brand new?!

The belt looks nice and tight, what else could it be?

I used to work at AZ, it's not uncommon for a remanned or even a new alternator to not be functioning properly. I would get your alternator tested to ensure it's charging, but from your symptoms I would say it isn't. I'd check your connections and if those are good I'd replace the alternator.

Agree what aphix said it is deff not uncommon for a remanfactured or brand new alternator to not be working correctly. Check fuse. But i would check connections. If you have a DMM i would do voltage drops on B+ and also ground side should be no more then .3v

I had a similar issue that just turned out to be the alternator fuse. Although, it wouldn't hurt to just the alternator off and bring it to an AutoZone to get tested. That way you know for sure.

Same thing happend to me also.I installed a o2 dump pipe on my car and I accidentally touch the positive wire on the alternator when I did it blew the alternator fuse, but I did not know.I went to turn my car on and all the symptoms you have were going on with mine.I check the fuses and found that the alternator fuse had blown I replaced it and all worked fine again.
