I'm looking into a J Pipe to connect a FMIC I just bought. Most of the ones available do not have a pressure fitting like the stock J Pipe. I use that fitting along with the wastegate pressure source for my MBC. It looks like if I couldnt use the J pipe source anymore I would have to use the pressure line that connects the BOV to the intake manifold. The setup I will eventually have is a VPC (blowthrough) setup with a TIAL BOV in front of a GM MAF. If I just teed off the BOV vacuum line to the MBC, would that work alright? Alternatively I could just leave everything be and tap the new J pipe and add my own pressure fitting. Which method would be better?

You can run it off the bov but is not recommended on our cars. I would buy a vaccum nipple, drill a hole in your jpipe, screw her in and jb weld it so it doesnt leak. Now you have the correct source, or you can do it on the LICP. Try not to use the BOV source.

Thanks for the info, I guess thats the way to go. Shouldnt be too difficult to do that.

Its funny how just 1 year ago, the BOV splice was number one.

now everyone is against it.

And smoking cigarettes used to only yellow your teeth, until someone proved it caused cancer.

The BOV vac. line splice was the better method before someone else came along and actually proved another vac. source to be better. :dsm:
