Hey guys, I have been searching and noticed that while there is a debate over whether to use the ofh or go off the head for turbo oil feed lines, there is very little info regarding places on the head you can use for the feed line. A couple months ago I was swapping my turbo on my 1g (went to a 14b, for whatever reason my car had a 13T turbo according to the casting numbers... but thats a different story), however, it was late when I was finishing up the project and I stripped the stock location on the head where the oil feed line bolts to (it's aluminum and I wasn't paying enough attention to how much pressure I was applying, it sucked). Anyways I read that the hole right in front of the stock location can be used as well, it is plugged with a set screw and I ended up using that location which took a smaller banjo bolt (I drilled out the holes in the bolt for better flow). Anyhow the new location I used is a little bit sketchy due to the setup I was forced to use because the bolt bottoms out well before it seals the banjo and I took up the space with a stack of crush washers. For the most part this setup was working but it has a slow oil leak through the crush washers and I am afraid to tighten the bolt into the head anymore in case I strip this hole too. I know this setup is quite sketchy and I intend to fix it more legitimately, so I am wondering: Aside from the two locations I mentioned (the stock location and the one I am using) are there any other locations on the head that I can use for an oil feed? I would appreciate any input, And I am also aware that the oil filter housing is an option but from what I've read using the head as an oil feed is efficient enough and likely the easiest route for me to take for my 14b. Thanks in advance
... but if it comes down to it I would probably be better off relocating my feed to the ofh and using a restrictor correct? (as opposed to pulling the head)
