OK i just spent the whole morning searching, i need numbers, i am about to install a 14b in place of my t-25, i just put a fuel pump on my car and the mods in my profile, i estimate i am probably at 184 whp, if i throw on that 14b and at 18 pounds, will i see much of a power gain? like 220? or 230? and is it worth the difference? See my arch rival beats me on the quarter by 1 1/2 cars , will that change with a 14b? I did search, but i need number so if anyone has a 2g on a 14b please help.

true, you might as well spend the extra and get a bigger one. I don't think spending $400 is a waste, I can get a t3/t4 turbo for a little more than that! It really comes down to whats available and what your budget is. If you have only $100 and can pick up a 14b, do it. OR save it and get a better turbo. :thumb:

I have heard of guys running the Bullseye T04B without any fuel mods which is preety crazy, looks like a good turbo, most probably what is going on my GST next. :thumb:
 
i got a 95 awd tsi with a 14b, 3in turbo back, plugs wires, intake and intake hard pipe stock fuel system, running 15lbs, and i am about a car behind my friends talon (with a evo III 16g) that stays at the fender of my other friends stock evo so i dont know any numbers sorry but i hope that helps you get the idea of the quickness, i actually get him till about 60 mph then his big ass turbo kills me. hoped i helped you alittle

Get some injectors and a 190lph turn up the boost and walk them :thumb:

Yeah, I did not know anything about them. That turbo was also a 5 bolt and would not bolt on to a DSM without modifications. Thanks for the warning though! :thumb:

Don't buy those items, complete junk. Search this site for SSAUTOCHROME if you don't believe me.

To the poster, start with the 14b, and use it to it's potential then upgrade later if you want. For the money the 14b is great.

You need a SS oil feed line and a j-pipe for the 14B install.

I dont know if anybody else is having the same "symptom" as me, but when I run 15psi, it falls off to about 13psi after about 4500 rpm. I have hks 264 intake cam tho. It holds 13psi close to 7000rpm, usually busy watching the road and not the tach/boost gauge. The weather has been up past the 90s recently, so I dont know if that would have anything to do with it.
 
Just got my 14b on my 98 GSX and all I can say is WOW!! It is big time faster. I just looked at porting picture and ported it myself. Put T25 02 housing on it with a port job also, And 3" exhaust. I bought the downpipe and made the rest myself for 40 bucks. I took out like 3 v notches about 3/4 inch and re welded it. the 3rd notch i did to run pipe upward a bit. It goes straight back and starts to angle just after rear end. I had it set at 17 lbs and last night went to street races and did a 3rd gear pull and got fuel cut. Psi with a cold night boost went up to 22 psi. Turned it down to 19 yes 19 psi and got a Srt-4 turbo neon with mbc on it to race me and I got him by 3 car lengths and with the T25 he would get me by 3 to 5 cars. Cant wait to get fmic and afc and injectors and try maybe 20 to 22 psi with this turbo. I bought kit from Slowboy and it all went on great. I did blow metal j pipe gasket after about 5 pulls so I made a paper gasket and its been working fine. Oh my muffler is 2 1/2 inch still but my boost stays right were it starts at full boost. I think I'm 1 lucky muffer on that. My thoughts on the 14b install, Go for it if u cant buy the big stuff all at once. I think if u put the 3 " exhaust on with 14b its well worth it. Haven't had car at the strip but I bet its over a second faster now and for my 250 dollars I spent its good.
 
Subscribe....also hows my mod list look for my 14B i just got it on from a bown 16G as soon as i get a good working logger im going to fine tune.
 
I raced an rx=7 turbo last night with my 14b and had him all the way thru 1/4 but he got me right at the end of 1/4 by only a car lenth. Man im having fun with this turbo. Ran 93 octane with 3 ounces of acitone mixed with 10 gallons of gas. he runs 13.5 at the strip so I know I would be in the 13s. Since he ran it at the strip he got some street slicks and he should be faster next time he goes, He had slicks on when I raced him also. It was like 65 out and I ran the boost at 20 lbs with no fuel cut or spikes or creep. I am going to the strip today and i will edit on this post what I run.
 
Bringing this thread back to life! I've got 14b fever. I blew my t-25 6 months ago, in the mean time I bought and installed a 3in turbo back, dsmlink & short shifter. I just got my 14b & 28x10.5x3.5 FMIC on last night, took it for a spin, had to fix a coupler that blew off. I'm really, really looking forward to little tdo5h :) I'm hopeing for high 12's this year at the track!!
