also looks great man. but i have to ask it. why a barretta. also why that year

holy bajesus ive never seen that before... i bet thats a shocker to pull up to... :thumb: looks like lot of custom work.

stopid me didn't get her number ... LOL Thanks

I had the beretta built for show but the car was to slow. I was going to do a swap but didn't know what chev engine to do. I seen alot of guys putting in 3.8 pontiac engines in but I didn't want to be the same as everyone so the local shop and I got thinking of other engines and they had a 92 talon engine in stock so there we go..two years later it in ....

took me two years this coming January to finish. just got the T3/T4 upgrade so I have a bit of work to do eg.. exhaust and external wastgate. to fully complete the project.
Thanks..

Interesting.... :thumb: For doing what no one else has.

Just wondering if you used that factory TB Elbow that is in the pic?? If you did, you should definately replace that. I have an HKS 60mm cast alum one I could hook you up with for cheap. ;)

looks pretty interesting, I'm wondering how you got all the suspension, front wheel drive stuff, and cv shafts to work? also, all the wiring harness and ecu stuff? Where's your battery? It doesn' look like its relocated to the trunk. I'm also wondering why you did it? just seems like a lot of work... -Matt
:edit: I see the battery now, I guess you wouldn't have to put it in the stock spot ha :p

props on the engine swap but Ronald McDonald yellow and red for the interior scheme

Also what kind of intake manifold is on it?

no I custom made one using the original flang

i like that setup man how much did i cost you?

Well its hard to say after two years in the project to tend to loose track of the money spent. If I had to guess between me and the shop we have over $8000 not including hours and hours of labour.

much respect, and very original

Thanks .. To be ohnest I thought I would get more of a negative reply .. I glad you all like it ...

custom made .. we used the first section of the cyclone intake and custom made a box which mounted to it. then mounted the TB to the end. We had to do this because of the GM brake booster.

Well to start with the suspension is all GM. the drive shafts are custom made mit splin on one end to GM splin on the other. Wiring was a pain. we used the stock mits ECU and harness and ran a perfect power piggy back computer for fuel etc.. we also have a stand alone harness in the car which I am going to use next year. all the guages are auto meter and are run in a harness on its own...

that is different... i'm not sure yet if i like it or not. i like it coz the engine bay looks really clean plus originality points, i don't like it coz it's a beretta. you can't drive with the hood open, so if you're on the road and i saw it... i would probably think you're some kind of a confused lost soul coz of the :dsm: paint on your intercooler rocked by a bowtie?

and for $8K that you spent, i would've gone with a built stock motor with a custom twin turbo set up. twin turbo not for performance but for the sake of the shows that you intended the car for.

my overall rating: :thumb:

So cool...yet so hideous...I don't know what to think.

I have a soft spot in my heart for berettas, a 1996 Z26 Beretta was the first car I ever bought for myself. Wish I had thought to do something cool like this!

Ive got a turbonetics ehxaust manifold for a T4 and a tial external wastegate for sale if your interested.

I have the header with T3/T4 turbo external wastegate already.. .. What I do need is help with oil leaks .. I hear its common with the 4g any thoughts.. or hints to keep the engine bay clean...

Well the :dsm: is cut out of aluminum and I was going to use it on the batt cover but that didn't work out so I put it on the intercooler for now .. I get your point .. I thinking of putting some where else, under the hood

Get some 1/4 mi. times for us or some vids!
I did run it once but like all new things they don't work out the first time ... I ran a 16.6 with a new cluch slipping once in second gear all the way down the track. that was with the t25 turbo at 15psi .. I just got a new cluch and turbo kit so we will have to wait till next year to find out since there is snow on the ground ...

i like it! how much were the axles?
i've often thought of dropping a 4G63 into the back of an 88GT fiero, even though it's been done before. i'm guessing the axles would be about perfect copies of yours, since the fieros and berettas share a lot of tranny/hub/suspension components.

ugly but fast:

If you drove up in that car and told me there was a 4g63 under the hood I would of bet you $500 your full of it.

Then i'd be out a grand, because I still wouldn't believe it and bet you again :p

Nice work :thumb:
You should just make a living telling everybody you have an evo engine, having them bet you 20 bucks you don't, and taking their money w/ a grin.

After you get frustrated w/ no traction, the AWD swap can be next. :)

thought about it . but I want to try this set up first. It wasn't to bad this summer at the track. mind you the cluch wasn't holding ...
