Hey guys im planning on a set of wheels but I cant find the lug pattern measurement for my car its a base model laser....Can anyone help please????

[ALL DSMs use a 5-lug, 114.3mm or 4½" bolt circle.
The stud thread is 12x1.5mm

I would think it's 5x114.3 just like the rest of us. Hopefully someone will confirm i've never had an rs.

Also, that "114.3mm" is 4½ inches. But we have to use a goofy bunch of millimeters instead of just a simple measurement, or everyone will realize it's just an American car instead of a finely-crafted import.

:shhh: I like the look on the mulletthead's faces when I tell them that my mitsus are domestic... :dsm:

for some reason they can't grasp the fact that my GSX and my TSI are the EXACT same car... 91' AWD... they always say the Talon is better, because IT is a domestic:rolleyes:

I am looking into getting rims on my 95 eclipse GST. I am thinking 17s but I am not sure what bolt pattern and offset to get. I was also thinking that it is the 5-114.3 bolt pattern and probably a +40mm offset that I will need, please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

Your bolt pattern is right. 40mm offset is good for up to about 235 width tires. Look for wheel width in the 7.5 to 8 inch range, even 8.5 if you're going to use 235's.

Thanks for all of the info guys!! I found some rims that I think will work, let me know if you think they will look good on a 95 reclipse red gst, I also have gunmetal taillights, and soon to have gunmetal projector headlights too. Let me know your opinions.

Hey guys, I don't know where this thead belongs so I decided to post it here in the hang out.

I just bought some Enkei RS6 18" rims (from a fellow DSMer too) and I need to get some new lug nuts. I know that I want locking lugs but I do not know what size to get. I did a search on this site and read that the standard size is 12mmX1.5 However, I do not know if I need a different size (for ex. 12mmX1.25 was suggested) because of the specific rim that I have.

So I guess my question is, what size do I need that will work well with these Enkei's? Thanks guys, I really appreciate the input. :talon:

the 1.5 or 1.25 is the thread pitch....you don't wanna change that part...there are different styles of lug nuts but i dunno what wones you need or what would work or anything...but i figured i could at least answer that part of the question.

The 12 X 1.5 is the thread on the stud. It has no relation to the "size" of the nuts.

Check your closest custom wheel shop, they'll have you fixed up for $15 before you can type a reply.

Thank whoever suggested the 1.25 to you. Now you know to not listen to anything automotive they ever tell you, ever again. One filter in place. :)

LOL right on defiant.

Seriously just take a rim to the shop and they will hook you up. Likely you need tapered nuts as opposed to our flat face ones stock.

You will want to get some lockers too!

Cool, thanks guys!

I did take the rims to a wheel shop and he did find some for me, but they were $50 for all 20  They looked real nice and they were locking lugs (I will not get anything but lockers) but for $50- I dunno. I could get the same thing off of e-bay I think. Don't get me wrong about buying stuff on e-bay, but something like this I think would be okay from there, what do you think? AND when I was at that store I forgot to ask him about the size :|

Maybe I'll just give them a call and they can tell me what size I need.

Anyways, thanks Defiant and bender- I really appreciate the help. (and goat)
