Just took my 97 gst down to schwabs an had an alignment done since I recently replaced my wheel bearings an tie rod ends on both sides. They did the alignment an didnt charge me for the work since they said that they couldnt align it to their standards an instead handed me a paper saying that I needed them to do the following: Rear chamber Shims, Adjustable Ball Joint (which 1 is bad). Their total for all of this is $661

Basically the way they explained it to me is that the right side of my car is messed up for whatever reason but the left side is completely fine. This doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me considering one side is fine. So my question is has anyone had any experience in this area or does anyone have any advice? I do plan on lowering it in the future which from my understanding will enhance this problem. plus I dont want to be smoking threw tires unless I am really smoking threw them. Any an all advice an help would be appreciated

I will include two pictures of what they gave me so you can see the alignment specs an what they wanted to charge me for.:banghead:

I cant get them to upload due to size so I can email if you want to see the alignment results

I would take it to a nether alignment shop and see if they tell you the same thing, I had some friends that worked at shwaub for a while and they admit to ripping people off!! Second opinion is always a good idea.

Ill have to look into it since that what my mechanic told me to do also. I guess I assume that they would do a good job since they are such a prominent business but Ill take it an get a second opinion since they didnt charge me anything.
