I haven't been worrying about this yet, since I've had more serious problems, but....
The first day I got my car, I had it parked outside the autoparts store, while i ran in and got a K&N. Now, when I first got the car, if I used the auto lock to lock the door (or it might have been if I pushed the auto lock after the door was already locked--I don't recall), and this was the case in this instance--the green security light came on, and I went in the store. To be perfectly honest, I didn't even think the car had any kind of alarm at all, thought it was just the standard issue light that says security, going for the .0001% chance that someone might believe it and not steal your car.
Well, long story short, my window was rolled slightly down, and not only was my factory key already a bit messed up, but I had a bunch of stuff in my hands, so I just reached in through the window and opened the lock from the inside.
Big mistake.
Horn starts going off, and I haven't the slightest idea how to turn off the alarm, so I'm relegated to sitting in the parking lot while this thing goes off for several minutes. It's possibly a freak accident, but I finally put the key in the driver side lock, and unlocked it, and the horn stopped.
However, since then, I can't get the security light back, and the little noise that reminds you if you've left your headlights on while your door is open no longer comes on either.
On the driver side sun-blocker whatchamacallit, there's 3 little buttons (one w/ an led) mounted, and I'm wondering if this thing has anything to do w/ it.
Is there possibly a fuse associated w/ this, or anything else I need to do to reset the alarm?
I don't care _THAT_ much about the alarm, but having the headlight warning would be nice...
