Has anybody ever thought about putting an air locker in the diff on a DSM?

Well I'm of the mind that something has to fit. Of all the diffrent trucks out there you would think one would cross-reference into it.

None will cross reference into it....

By the time you bought one from an application that was similarly sized you would still likely have to modify it or the DSM gears to work with it. I assume you mean the center diff right?

You should just buy a quaife because it would cost the same or less considering the custom work to make one from something else fit.

Drag Racing
Street and strip DSM's just get 4 spider center diff... Speed Design makes the strongest one. Stronger than a quaife... Not as "smart" of a differential but stronger.

Strip only just spool it.

If you sit and think about the design of the DSM transmission, the best option in terms of some custom device would be an externally switchable VCE. This could be paired with a 4-spider or a Quaife, depending on what you do other than drag race.
