i have previously installed a dejon tool intake pipe on my 90 gs-turbo. made sure everything is hooked back up and correct. coupler doesnt fit that great around turbo but ill get one thats smaller to fit it properly. when the pipe was on, the idle was dropping down and the car was dying, could this be a result of the coupler not fitting ( being slightly too large around the turbo) and is there somthing i need to adjust to make it run properly with the intake pipe on when i get the proper coupler? do i need to adjust somthing since there will be greater air flow? any help would be awsome!

Is the coupler around the turbo inlet sucking in air? Otherwise you should be ok for that issue. Are all of your vac lines connected properly? MAS plugged in? Check everything again, I know I get in a hurry when I get a new part and miss things occasionally. Make sure your coupler clamp is tight to, Dejon have been notoriously sending bad couplers, you may want to use your stock T clamp on the coupler to get a tighter connection.

+1 if the coupler is loose enough to pull loose then you could be getting an inaccurate MAF reading and cause poor idle very similar to a boost leak. Or you could have fixed a major vacuum leak from a previous owner or the previous intake not sealing. If its tite try adjusting the IDLE. Look in the VFAQ for adjusting the BISS on a 1g.

1thing every car is different, ME.. i have ran mine like that before coming home from my shop and had no idle isssues it being big for the inlet mine was pretty loose too (barly stayed on).
if your went from a stock intake its restrictive as hell! then the ammout of air being pulled in is greater so you are most likly goin to have to re adjust your idle, like kolby said follow the directions cause the proper way isnt just adjusting the screw (not that you cant just :shhh:)

Dude, you asked this question last week and I told you what to do:confused: Did it not work. I had the exact same issue with my Dejon pipe and if you take the smaller ring adapter out and use a good 1/4" socket (not a screwdriver) to clamp down you'll get a great seal on the turbo. I've had no issues since. I readjusted the idle AFTER I got every leak fixed and it needed only the smallest corrections to idle at 750rpm on the nose.

LKWTSI Dude, you asked this question last week and I told you what to do Did it not work.

yeah i did ask a similar question, ive tried quite a few things and it still doesnt run right. even when i put the factory snorkel back on the idle still drops and she dies at any random time. i know im hooking everything back up properly. im getting a new coupler to make sure its sealed right. She only idles at 500, could that be a problem as well? i do appreciate the help everyone. and ill look into wether or not i need to adjust the biss screw as well.

Have you done a boost leak test yet? The idle problems will probably becoming from something small. I had to replace my BISS o-ring and TB shaft seals once I had all the new Dejon intake pipe and IC piping on. You'll be amazed at how small a leak they produce, but screw your idle up big time. If you haven't removed all the emission vac' lines you may have a leak somewhere else. Did you get the Intake pipe, with the nipples for the charcoal canister and vent line or did you get the BOV nipple only? Depending on which pipe you have you may be getting a vac' leak from not having one of the lines plugged. Just asking, as I know you said they're all plugged:hmm:

We're trying to tell you something isn't connected and or you have a pin hole sized boost leak. Check the TB shaft seals as LKWTSI stated, there's a mod here (snowboarder something) who did a writeup I believe on redoing TB shaft seals.
