I'm replacing my stock foglight switch with an aftermarket rocker. The only problem is, how is the wiring done? On the stock switch, there are 4 wires, as on my aftermarket switch, there are only 3 terminals. I can pretty easily figure out the ground and power wires coming from the stock switch, but what about the other two? can I just splice them together and connect them together to the accessory terminal on the aftermarket switch?

ya I'll probably try that, I was thinking that would work but I needed a second opinion. Thanks for the help :notgood: :sarcasm:

well you kinda answered your own question just find the power and ground and which one turns the lights on when you apply the power wire to it and hook it up

as for the four wires im guessing but ill say one is a acc. power(a power wire that only works when 1 the lights are on or 2 the key is turned on) one is ground one is for the light in the switch(if their is a light in the origional switch) and the last one is for the power to go to the lights

if you have three on your switch 90% of the time one is for the acc. power one is for ground and one is to the lights

if you look on the switch or the box it came in it will tell you which prong is for which wire

The 1G fog light switch wires are:

Pin1 NC
Pin2 (Red) to Fog Light Relay (Control output)
Pin3 NC
Pin4 (Black/Yellow) to Dimmer
Pin5 (Green/White) from Tail Light Relay (Illumination Power)
Pin6 (Green) from Head Lite Switch Diode (Power to drive Fog Light Relay coil)

So the switch gets power from pin 6 and switches it to pin 2. That feeds the coil of the FL relay and if the dimmer switch is on lowbeams the other side of the relay coil is connected to ground making the relay turn the FL on. Your switch just needs to use the red and green wires.
The other two wires are used for the light bulb in the FL switch.

If you want to have the FL's on with both low and high beams just ground pin 2 of the FL relay.
