So I wired the gauges from my 2G into my 1G, but after driving at night and turning the headlights on, the gauges shut off. They shut off whenever the side markers or headlight switch is turned on. Even at higher RPM's with little power draw, they only turn on when all exterior lights are set to off.
I wired the constant and switched 12v to the same that the stereo uses, and the ground to an existing one that was originally used for the backlight of an auto meter gauge. I'm just curious if it's the ground I used, and why the lights would turn off when normally the headlight/side marker light switch would turn the gauge backlight on?
