Aftermarket cams on a 14b?

Anyone running aftermarket cams on a 14b? If so which ones are you running and what do you like and dislike about them?

bigger cams are going to help top end power, the more you can flow in the high rpms the more you will benifit. I am sure you will see some decent gains, but there are alot of things I would consider upgrading first, like intercooler and fuel system.

yeah, you would see some gains, but with a 14b it runs out of breathe top end where the cams would help the most

But would the cams help you pull the rest of the way through the top end when the turbo starts to give up?

The cams would slow you down down low where it matters and help you out where your turbo has no more power so you have power up top you can't use and power down low that you lost. Not a good upgrade that this point. A turbo would do way more than cams would.

I perosnally have ran 272/272 combo on a 14b and it was sweet noticed a huge difference

How bad did the cams slow you down on the bottom end, off the line, or was there not a noticeable diference?

If you have a fast spooling turbo such as a 14b or an evo 3, any torque losses wont even be noticed.

Wow I blew up my 50 trim so for the time being I put back on my 14b. I have Web 546/547 cams and it is pretty neat on the 14b. I know it is a fast spooling turbo but with these cams boost is instant. Crazy stuff.

How bad did the cams slow you down on the bottom end, off the line, or was there not a noticeable diference?

I feel a huge degrade in low end. But once I hit around 4,000 the ####er pulls all the way to redline, and beyond.
