I juct bought another GST and I was told that it had bigger cams in it by a diffrent owner. I want to find out for sure. How can i do that? I could borrow a mic if I need to so I could measure the lobes but I was wondering if there was any marks on them to tell me what brand or even what size?

Take the valve cover off, manufacturer should be stamped on the cams themselves. Rotate the cam gears CW if you need to turn them to find the stamping.

No, typically the cam "grind" will be on there.. . . I havn't had my valve cover off in a few months so I'm not sure but I believe it is between the number 4 and number 3 cylinders. This is particular number that will correspond to a "cam card". Ask the original owner for a cam card. If he has none, then probably no aftermarket cams were purchased for this head... I don't ever loose my cam cards:) . . . If he did in fact loos it, then bring the grind numbers back here and we'll try to point you to the manufacturer so that they can tell what lift and duration the cams are.

I agree with Matt. Once you take your valve cover off, take some pics of the cams and everyone on here will be able to help you out further if you're still questioning.
