I have a small problem and wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

I ordered ( just sent an email to Extremepsi.com) about this but I ordered the Fuel Lab AFPR kit for my 1g Talon but I seem to have a problem.

I guess I can run the stock fpr until I get this setup fixed but I really dont want to overrun the stock FPR with my Wally 255 lph HP.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks,

Ian

If you want to "rig" it, you can grind off the outside of the ears and use big washers on the bolts to hold the adapter on.

The previous owner Rigged alot of things and I had to tear the whole car apart to fix them.

This will not be rigged. I sent an email to Extremepsi. I hope they understand they sent me the wrong one. Hell I would be happy paying for half of the overnight since this was not my fault.

I agree with this. The o-ring seals the fitting to the rail, and the bolts just have to (1) hold the fitting in so it doesn't pop out under pressure and (2) not wiggle loose.

But if you do this, you obviously can't send it back to Extremepsi.

You can buy the 1g fitting by itself (with o-ring and bolts).

Another option is to drill and tap the end of the rail to accept a fitting, but if you don't have the fitting or the tools, that doesn't help. I think vfaq has an article on this.

Oh owning a DSM you better have a tap and Die kit... I have one. I thought that there was plenty of room to do that also.

I have other fuel rails laying around and actually thought about that for a quick second.

I will end up getting another 90* an fitting to make life a little easier.

When I put it in the fuel rail (not paying any attention at all ) and realized that its a tad too small it was a PIT trying to get out!

I also have a friend with a 2G with a bad motor so I might just snag his fuel rail if he will let me have it (hes selling it)

I just got frusterated and need it ready to roll this weekend my buddy who is a UTI grad in auto body is going to help me fix the rust on the drivers side!!! woo hoo

The 2g rail is 1/2" longer than the 1g rail on the FPR end, so you'll have even less room than you do now. 2G guys have to cut the corner off of their upper timing belt cover to get the typical 90* fitting to clear. They sell tight-fit 90* fittings that clear more easily, I hear. Even after cutting my timing cover, you *barely* have enough room to get the threads started on the fitting. But once it's on, it's on, so who cares ;). And if you have the rail off to drill/tap it, you can put the fitting and rail-to-AFPR line on first, then reinstall the rail.

I think I might just cut the bolt holes off the fighting and use the stock bolts and use washers so I can get this thing running until the other fiting comes in the mail. I have a wally 255 lph HP I dont want to run pig rich until next week so I think that will work for a couple of days. I hate rigging things but its only going to be for a couple of days.
