Alright so i bought a 2g eclipse from someone, with a 1g motor in it. And the other day i had a leak coming from the fuel rail- to my fuel pressure regulator. What i saw he did was put some threads coming off the fuel rail (on the drivers side) by welding it on, and screwing the fuel pressure regulator right onto the end of the rail. When i went to tighten the fuel pressure regulator, the threads snapped right off the fuel rail and is stuck inside the fittings on the FPR. Ill attach some pictures to show what happened. Now i need a new fuel rail and don't wanna buy a $160 fuel rail off the internet. Is there anything i can do to a stock rail, to put the fuel pressure regulator onto the end of it (on the drivers side)? I'm using a Sx Performance fuel pressure regulator Model: 15402. And should the FPR be mounted somewhere else, or should it be attached directly to the fuel rail?

i wanan keep my fuel rail stock if possible, i just wanted to know if theres something i can do to the stock rail so that my SX Performance can fit on there the right way. without re-welding it.

The regulator was mounted right on the rail? That's why it fell off. You have the option of having the rail threaded for an AN fitting, and to mount the regulator on the firewall, where it belongs. I wouldn't even bother. They cut the rail so short, that any fitting you will use will likely protrude into the hole for the #1 injector. I would find a stock rail and get an adapter to go from the stock flange to AN.

OK i have another stock rail already, where can i find an adapter to go from stock flange to AN? and how do i know what size AN i need for my Sx FPR?

Does that 90-degree fitting thread off of that adapter that's threaded into your regulator? If so, all you would need is the -6 rail adapter, a hose, and some hose ends. Any DSM vendor should have a rail adapter, but they only seem to come in a kit that also includes the adapter for the feed.

You can also drill the newer rail with a 9/16" bit, and tap it to 3/8" NPT, and then get a 3/8" NPT to -6 AN fitting.

I dont have any tap or die kits. So would it be better to get the -6 rail adapter kit your taljung about? And do u have any links?

EBAY has the adapters themselves. They bolt into the stock location and have a -6an output. I have one on my car, and aside from putting a better O-ring on it when I got it, I have not had a problem. My FPR is mounted on the strut tower on my 1g, but the firewall is the best location for most. Pick up some -6 line from jegs or summit, and some ends. You will need more than likely 2 90* -6 fittings, and likely a 3rd 90* or a strait fitting for the return line. Myself in my location, I have a 90* off my rail, a 180* into my FPR, and then a 90* out to the return line. Used about a foot maybe 2 of line. You could also use push loc fittings and push loc lines. Its just a personal preference at that point.
