HI guys whats up. Well, I'm in the market for a fpr and components. I did my research and found various brands. As I'm trying to get the best for my car. Base on feedback from people and the research that I've done. I decided that the best one for my car would be Aeromotive brand. Well, upon shopping for a kit, I've came acroos the new Aeromotive Compact fuel pressure regulator. Aeromotive Compact Fuel Pressure Regulator [13105] - $155.00 : Custom Speed Sound & Image, Circle, Straight, Street Or Show
What do you guys think of it? Yes, its a bit more expensive. No problem there. Is anybody here using it? It says that Because it comes with 6 AN male fittings for the inles and the outlet ports, it eliminates the need of buying any additional fittings and O-rings.
Fuel pressure rises on a 1:1 ratio, which should be expected from aeromotive fprs.
My other question is: Can the pressure be lowerd too? I hear that some FPRs only allow for rising the fuel pressure but don't lower it. All in all, I'd like to hear any lind of feed back on this Supposed New FPR form Aeromotive.
Thanks guys.

jorge.

Aeromotive is good for the price, definitely not a shoddy product. I've used one on my car before.

I just got a Weldon fpr. Through my research I couldn't find anything bad about them, and seems like a top notch product. Google Weldon, and search for it on DSMTuners, you might like it.

Thanks guys I'll do. I'm still curious about this new compact fpr. It seems very nice. This would be my first one. So lets see what happens. I might just get the regular fpr instead of the compact one. we'll see.

LOL. indeed. you are right snowborder. LOL. My bad. Its just that I never seen that model before and the description says: new design. Now, whats the difference between this supposed compact new design and the regular or standar design on the other aeromotive fprs?? What actually makes them different? Extreme psi has an awesome kit but before I buy that one, I'd like to know whata the diference between both design ans both fprs. Does 1 of them have better and more exact adjustment that the other one? Is there mounting differences between one another? I prefer to mount it on the firewall instead of the fuel rail.

They are both adjustable to 30-70 psi and both raise on a 1:1 ratio in relation to boost. They also both will mount to the firewall.

This one does not come with any fittings and 2 inlets, 1 outlet (for return line), and the 1/8" NPT gauge input. This is useful so that you can have your fuel input go to either side of the AFPR which will give you more mounting options.

This one comes with all the fittings, but only has one inlet so that will limit your mounting locations. Since it's on the left, you'd have to mount it either straight back from the end of the fuel rail or more towards the drivers side on the firewall. Also, the gauge input is on the right side of the AFPR and not the front, as will the other one.

Thanks man. I really appreciate you explaining me the difference between the 2 designs.
Thats exactly what I was looking for. :thumb:
Thank you very much snowborder.

I'm in the market for an AFPR as well, and not sure which one to buy.

I like the different options available, however i heard issues with people installing FPR's and having the L connectors hitting the plastic casing that covers your TB. (to the right of the fuel rail.) Anyone have any comments on this? Does it fit without any modifications?

I get crap gas milage right now, how much will this help in fuel conservation as well as performance?
