Does anybody know a way to disable the aumatic brightness adjustment??I prefer if the brightness was high all the time.

I don't think there is a way... i guess you could go in and replace the ambient sensor with a diode or equivalent resistor. I love the to auto dimming. It's transitions are quite smooth

What if I cover the hole on the face plate?

then it will always think its dark, and will lower the display brightness.
