Hello, first off I am posting this in the newbie section because I'm pretty sure there are already plenty of discussions on wiring in a wideband. However, I have researched for 3 days and have yet to find the answer I'm looking for. I am trying to wire in an aem eugo wideband on my 1990 tsi awd so that I can simulate narrow band using dsmlink. Power and ground were a piece of cake but I'm confused on how to wire the white wire into pin 4.
1. Which wire is it? I was 99% sure it was the solid white wire 4th from the left in the picture below, but after checking numerous diagrams it looks like it is the white wire with the red stripe 4th from the right. This was especially confusing to me since everywhere I have read it says to look for a solid white wire.
2. Do I simply cut the wire for pin 4 and connect it to the wire for the wideband (so that the ecu only gets a signal from the wideband) or splice the wideband wire into the wire for pin 4 (so that the stock narrow band o2 wire is still hooked up to the ecu). I cant see how it would matter since there is no longer a narrow band sensor for the ecu to read, but I thought id ask anyway.
I hope my questions made sense
. If any of you guys could show me a picture of how you have yours wired in it would be a huge help. Thanks in advance!
