Advice.

Hey DSM elders! I think I already know the answer to this but is this crack fixable? I work during the day or I would just take it to a machine shop and ask. The pic I posted is my head on the intake side. The crack is just below were the intake bolts up on the bottom. Any advice would be great. Also if this head is garbage, does anyone have a link or a good brand for ported or just OEM heads?

Better to replace. It's going to cost you more to have a good quality weld done. Welding cast aluminum effectively and properly is $$. You don't need a ported head. Port match it and that's it. There are plenty of guys running 9's on stock heads.

As stated by gixrman you are going to want to replace it, and the cost to fix it is going to be $$.

Wow yeah sorry i had no clue that they had such bad press with them just did a quick google search and saw. good thing i never ordered anything from them never liked ther prices on things, but now reading some of these reviews ill never order a thing.
