Hey guys, I've got a 90 TSI AWD, I've decided to get a rebuild. My goals are (for the future with the appropriate supporting mods) 500awhp. I have done lots of research but I would like some specifc advice on the build.. I was thinking Eagle H Beam rods and Weisco pistons. one of my quesitons was is there a benfit to going .20 over and all that.. or is this done only to clean up the cylinder walls. I figured since I've got the motor out I mine as well do it now. What other things should I do to the bottom end? I also was thinking of just going with a stock head , as I'm not going to put it all back together and hit 500.. I'm gonna build up to that, so no need in going that far.. I figured this way the bottom end is done and then all I gotta do is swap the head with a built one so I dont have to take out the whole motor again once I have the larger turbo and supporting mods.. My plan was to max out the 14b on the stock head and built bottom end, and then move up. and replace parts to reach that 500awhp goal. Is there a flaw in my way of thinking. Anyone with experience please point out to me what I may not be seeing or what experience has taught you so that I may go about this without too many surprises or, "Damn, I should have done this or that"... I Appreciate the help....
