i get paid tomorrow and im getting hard 2.5inch upper and lower intercoller piping, a SSQV BOV w/1g adapter, lightly ported O2 housing, 2.5 to 3 inch downpipe, and 3 inch exhaust with a a high flow cat and im buying a dejon intake pipe of the classifieds on this site. getting all this stuff right after i pick up my check tomorrow!.im also getting a stock exhaust manifold brand new (the one i have now is cracked in a few places)...... and what should i do with the wastegate?

does anybody think ill have to do any tuning for increasing the amount of airflow? or should i be able to bolt it all up and go?.... i seen one guy one here car was acting funny after he installed just a downpipe...

on my 90 laser rst

i would deffinatly port the manifold. and make sure you are getting a recirculation kit with that SSQV BOV.
also are you doing a full exhaust like from turbo on or just after the cat?
man i wish i had your job. all that you listed is like 5 months of work for me haha

haha well it two checks saved and i get paid every other weak.... but the manifold im getting is on ebay and it says its slightly ported..... and the BOV comes with the recirculation tube....

so can i just bolt all this shit up and go or what? or is it gonna give me problems...

2.75" IC piping?

I hope you aren't paying more that you would for 2.5". That's all that is needed. Make sure you get the right couplers to connect to your intercooler.

The SSQV BOV is nice, but I hate the fluttering sound. If you like it, kudos. I'm thinking I may just dodge mod a 1g BOV, IMHO.

Just get a 2g O2 housing. Don't even worry about porting a 1g one. I'm actually running an ebay SS o2 housing. It hasn't cracked and I've run it for close to 5k miles so far. If you want to dump, might as well just get one of those.

yeah its probably 2.5 its on ebay i just forgot the width.... im a newb to this

ok so ive been reading about this guy that installed a 3 inch downpipe and is hitting a fuel cut... i do NOT want this to happen to me.... everybody is telling him to port his wastegate and o2 housing....

so ive decided before i install i will install an air/fuel meter to know if im rich or lean, the o2 housing im getting is ported already,, my question is should i get a aftermarket wastegate? i dont know how to or feel like porting or messing with my stock one... if so, what should i get?... i see alot of the 35mm 40mm even 80mm wastegates, what size should i get:hmm:
and basicly what should i do to make sure i dont hit a fuel cut..... dont have money for a logger spending all my money on this stuff
also the manifold im getting is completely stock NOT ported and im fine with that as long as everything works properly,,, im not trying to get every horse i can outa this even though i expect it to give me some i just want it to run good and sound really nice..

or should i not even have to worry about the wastegate?... cause that would bve really nice

You should be fine bolting it all on and just going. The one problem you might run into is boost creep. With a 2.5 inch downpipe and keeping a cat it shouldn't be to bad though if any at all. If you do get creep you will will want to port your exhaust housinghttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/186525-how-cure-boost-creep-porting.htmlwhich is the cheapest route or you could get and external wastegate but that will be more expensive and possibly overkill depending on your goals. As far as the fuel cut the only way I would see you hitting fuel cut is if you where creeping real bad. And also forget the air/fuel meter idea it's a waste of money doesn't tell you jack. If you want to get something to monitor your engine(very good idea) get a wibeband o2 sensor and a logger.
