thats all i needed to know thanks, what is actual timing? is it 5*?

No, that's just so you can sync the mechanical with the electrical. When you ground the check timing connector the ECU locks it's timing advance to 5* BTDC so you can adjust the CAS so it matches the engine.

During operation the timing advance comes from the ECU maps and depends on load and RPM.

now i am confused again, dont i just time it like its an old chevy with a timing gun and moving the cas to set the timing

No reason to be confused. The link posted explains it and the process is no different than what your used to.

You really should check it so you know for sure. The timing can be off quite a bit and still "run fine" so be very careful. Try not to ever take shortcuts with these cars, trust me, it will bite you in the ass.
