:talon: :laser: :dsm: i heard it makes it so there is no free play with the clutch with the 6 puck, like you cant feather it, is this true? because the car im interested in getting has it and its gonna be my daily driver too

its kinda that way, i mean you can some what ride it if you drive it enough to get use to it, but it more like it jerks feeling threw the shifts if you wanna drive it around town. i know lots of people that drive with 2900 daily

ok good, so is that great with launching? cause i remember with my old tsi lauching you couldnt just pop out the clutch you had to ease off of it

It takes some gettign used to but it is definately drivable around town. You have to change since the clutch has. . . I'm driving a SOLID hub 6 puck and able to slip fine. I have to to launch a FWD out of the hole properly. . .

I wouldn't recommend that combination. The coefficient of heat of that ceramic padded disk is much higher than that of a street disk. Combine that with a high-pressure plate, and you have alot of heat. If you have an aluminum flywheel, it's going to be even worse. Premature warping is a likely outcome.

Unless you're making a shit-ton of torque (700+), stick with a smaller pressure plate like the 2600. With an aggressive disk, you don't need nearly as much pressure plate. The 2900 pressure plate isn't too bad for a DD, but I would run it with the street disk if it were me. If you're slipping it, don't expect the disc to last very long though.

Oh man! I didn't think of this. I'm running a SBR 3500 pressure palte. This is a little stronger than an act 2600 and w/ good heat shedding/durability characteristics. . .

I definately agree w/ this, of course:thumb:
