friction disk exploded in ACT 2900

How long would a stock disk last with a t67 turbo behind it.. I can only find OEM and parts store disks locally and tonights out annual yearly ice cream cruise and i want to be there. but i want what i do to last enough to be worth the pain i'm in to put it together

any ideas on things i can find local, just a good friction disk?

My buddy runs a 2900 with OEM 2g street disc in his car. Over 10k miles on it in the 600hp range and its still rocking.

really.. I found a post through google that saudid OEM mitsu disks are too thick, cause shifting problems and will rapidly wear because of not fully disengaging and heating up.. woulda saved me a little money and time but i found an RPS that i tossed in and the car with a gripping clutch is a whole new beast on the PT6776RS turbo.. i love this thing even on the street

You should be plenty fine for the mean time with the stock disk, I would just keep the hard slipping to a minimal and you should be golden

thanks i got an RPS disk which is better than stock and i hardly ever slip my clutch. with the LSD and good power from my old 57 trim if i got it hot it slipped in third.if it stayed cool it roasted posi till almost 100mph when the car caught up..

I actually wanna go auto but have a lot to learn/ask (about to post a new thread ) but i've got some requirements.. i just want perfect WOT shifts without taking teeth off gears, plus auto's aren't as "tricky" to build right as far as bearing preloads, picky about shift forks etc,.. so once it's built a "service" is well within the end users hands (or at least anyone i would consider serious about an auto could
