When I bought my car, it already had an ACT 2600 clutch. I have no idea when the previous owner installed the clutch so I do not know how many miles are on it. When I was first learning how to drive it I never launched it. After 2 months of driving, I launched it and my turbo seized. After a long and painful 7 months I finally found a new turbo and bolted it up after re-doing my piping. I drove it for about 2 weeks before I first tried a launch with the new turbo. I honestly can say I have only launched it 5 times and I am already noticing the clutch starting to slip. Through first and second gear it doesn't slip too much. But 3rd through 5th in the low end it slips significantly. I have never pulled out a clutch or tranny so I really do not know what I am doing. I researched and know that I need a new disk. I have been asking around and I have heard some rumors that there is a 6 puck sprung hub that ACT makes for DSMs but I cannot find it. Is this rumor true? I have read that the regular 6 puck has harsh engagement and the street disk will not last very long. So I have no clue what to order or how to install. Any info will help. Thanks.
And now for some reason its working fine. Im completely confused. Anyone know whats going on?
