So I installed my new Prosport mechanical boost gauge and took the car out to test it. The boost gauge was reading 19psi as my max boost. My car has a 2G MAS, intake and 3" exhaust, everything that is boost related is completely stock. So I assumed I was overboosting due to something the previous owner did.

This morning, I got my Innovate LC-1 WBO2 setup up and running. I took the car out again and was boosting "19psi" but had an A/F ratio of 10.5:1 at WOT. If my car was actually making 19lbs of boost, I don't see how my A/F ratio would remain on target. I have stock injectors and DSMlink on the way, my fuel map is bone stock.

So that leads me to conclude that my boost gauge is way off. It's reading 20hg at idle and 19psi max boost. Has anyone else had issues with this gauge?

I have the electronic prosport boost gauge, I would think the mechanical would be more accurate. I'm reading around 21-22hg at idle, yours sounds about right. It should not be hitting 19psi boost stock though. Do you still have the boost solenoid connected or do you have a vaccuum hose running from the turbo wastegate to the j-pipe?

The solenoid is still there, I haven't cjecked to see if the limiter has been removed from it, but even if it had I don't think I'd be touching 19psi. According to the maintenence records, the turbo was replaced and the wastegate was "rebuilt" could that have been tampered with to cause this much boost? Even if it had, I don't see how my stock injectors and tune could support that much of an increase.

All of our cars are different. I can hold 11:1 @ 20psi on a stock fuel system. Pneumo laid down 300+awhp on the 450's with a 14b. You might be at 100% duty cycle, but you need bigger injectors anyway.

I just bought a mechanical one and it seems to run correct for mine, idle is at 20hG and max boost is around 15-16 Psi and then tapers off, thats with a full 3" turbo back and a FMIC with that k&n attachment and I still dont seem to get that much boost creep
