ABS Light on!

I have a 1992 laser awd turbo, First my alternater wasn't charging the battery properly. Last nignt i drove back to my house from work , my Anti lock brake light came on and i got an smell like something burn inside the car.So i did replace a new alternater and bettery but ABS light is still on.So please let me know how to fix that problem..Thanks

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it.

Is the ABS pump running when the light is on?

Are you using a PL?

you will know if its running.

When you step on the brakes hard and ABS kicks in and it makes that weird noise? That is what it sounds like if it would be running.

I would rip every bit of that ABS crap out by the roots - It's just in the damn way - You don't need it on an AWD - period.

every time i make turn there is noice coming from left front wheel.is that what you talking about?I know i don't really need abs but the light kinda of bother me, i like to fix if i can!!

The Abs light comes on due to eletrical problems.

Have you checked to make sure the brake fluid reservoir is full?

check to see if any of the wires are loose, or take it to satan, my local auto zone does free testing if lights like that come on, check to see if an auto parts store will do testing for no charge.
