Ok i am back to give a review.
As all of you who read this thread know, my forge started leaking on me like the rest of them that didnt get the revised lock ring. I tried to patch it up myself with different welding.
Well it fixed the leak of the air leaking outside the bov, but I later found that I still had a leak inside the actual bov itself, and the air was escaping thru the recirculation hole back into the turbo...
After talking with Patrick at Forge about my issue, we first thought it was the top of the bov( the part that the vacuum line that comes from the IM coems from. Figured the pressurized air from that was escaping down the sides of the bov piston and out the hole due to it being warped from me welding it.
Well he sent me a new top and new seals that go to the top of the bov free of charge.
Well i tried out the new stuff, and did another boost leak test and found that iwas still leaking, and it was definitly begining to get very frustrating so i went and just put the stock modded 1g bov back on.
I told Pat again that it was a no go, and then discussed that the bov body itself mustve warped from my welding and not the top... I cant say i had the most proffessional welding job given that my friends dad did it for me in his garage and he never even took it apart to weld it, or gave it proper cooling time, so that was likely the culprit...
At any rate, Pat just told me to send it back, and that he would figure something out for me so my money and experiences with the forge product wouldnt go to total waste.
So I sent it back to him and payed the shipping, and this was Mon 2/25/08.
Was sitting on my computer getting ready to go to school, and then UPS was at my door with a return delievery from Forge on 2/27/08. Only 2 days later, which was surprisingly quick.
I opened it and Pat had sent me a brand new revised Forge bov free of charge when in actuality they couldve just left me stranded with a messed up bov knowning that id never be able to use it yet still have paid good hard earned money for.
I havent had the time to install the new forge on my car yet but will give a review on how that goes as well. Either way , even if i still end up not likeing this bov, i cant deny the
excellent customer care, and consideration.
And I have to give two thumbs up on that one.

I'll report back when I find out if it still leaks or not.
