This is a run down of the parts that I have decided on so far.

-TRE stage 3 trans rebuild with 4 spider center and ripgrip front lsd and Evo 3 rear lsd. Rebuilt transfer case
-Stock 7-bolt bottom end (180 across the board and BS removal)
-6AN tank to rail and return with Fuel Lab filter and FPR
-950cc's (unsure on the brand)
-Walbro 255hp rewired
-Link v3

The things I am unsure of are the turbo, valve train/cams, and clutch set up.

As far as the turbo, I've been leaning towards the HTA68. Originally, I thought I decided on a MHI evo3.
Valve train will be decided on the cams. I'm leaning towards 272's or 264's.
For the clutch I am totally undecided. Too many options.

This is where I need advice. I'm shooting for 350 to 400 hp as reliable and streetable as possible. I want to get parts that will be stressed as little as possible at this level. I would like to do it right and only once. If anything maybe a bigger turbo when it starts to feel slow. I'm aiming for quick spool, good torque, and a decent top end. With what I have mentioned, I think I'm pretty close. If anyone has any advice, suggestions, opinions... feel free. I am totally lost on the clutch set up and cams. Remember, I'd like to keep it as streetable as possible. It may see a track 3 times a year(would be a lot). It definitely will be sideways on snow and ice:D. Thanks

Hey hate posting without giving any useful advice but I am trying to make the same HP while still keeping it street able. Hope you keep updating this thread.
My parts list:
FB mani
14b (for now)
GM maf (can read profile for rest)
Future Plans:
255 fp
550cc injectors (advise from dsm wismen easier to tune with apexi afc)
aem fpr
evo 3 16g

I'll definitely keep updating until I'm ready to start my build. Right now I'm kind of stockpiling parts. I'm still unsure of a few things I'll be going with for the build. Good luck with your project.

Any advice out there on fuel pumps?
I have a Forced Performance 255 and a Walbro 255 both HP. I can find alot of info on the Walbro but not too much on the FP fuel pump. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm in the same situation as you in picking a fuel pump. There is only one review on the fp pump. The guy seemed really happy with the install and performance. The walbro is a proven product. The only thing i didn't like reading was the warranty info on maperformance.com. I think i am going to be going with the fp because of the great customer services and i can't see them putting their name on a product that isn't good/high quality. hopefully this helps and you've got a nice build going good job.

I already have both the Forced Performance 255 and a Walbro 255. Both are brand new. I got the FP with their turbo, manifold bundle. The Walbro I got for Christmas from my girl. I already found tons of information the Walbro and not so much on the FP. I understand the Walbro is proven. I am just looking for any experience with FP's fp. I am not questioning Forced Performance's quality. I'd just like to know a bit more about their fuel pump.

if ## only looking for around 400hp e316g will be fine but pretty well maxed. go with the 255 walbro its cheap and will allow more boost if u decide to go for more power. a set of 750 pte's will be plenty, act 2600 stage 2 will be good for streetability. (i have a 4 puck stage 3 and its not fun in heavy traffic and it dosent like to be under 2000 rpm) 7bolts are hit and miss i never had an issue with crankwalk on my 95 and i had 210k on the clock. 6 bolts were much stronger all around and 7 bolt rods are weaker than 6 bolt. as for cams check out the dsm graveyard website. they have a custom 274 cam and u can buy them with retainers etc....you should be fine on stock motor at 400hp if ## motor is well taken care of and u have a good tune. just be ready because things will break. good luck

I agree with this guy..good luck with build

your build is similar to mine. except i WILL be maxing out my e3 16g. (fp mani, pr recirc'd o2 housing mounted external wastegate(turbonetics 38mm) vrsf fmic, 850 fic injectors, wally 255, hks 272's, built 2.3 6bolt, ecmlink v3 etc..) ohh and as far as the clutch setup, i went with a 2600 pressure plate and south bend kevlar street disc. holds more power over the organic act disc(springs wont pop out like act's either :p) and wont heat up and slip(after some track fun) as much as an organic. perfect 400whp combo imo. good luck with your build!

haha i too think ## over building for 350-400 hp, idk if anyone has mentions this but i dont see ## budget.. seems like u have really really deep pockets for trans and turbos build.. maybe give everyone a realistic number, and someone can give you their ideas of how much they used on their setup.. ;)

Thanks. Definitely good insight. I'll have to check out that clutch combo. I see you're running a walbro. I have a walbro 255 but also got the FP 255 with their Christmas package. I'm not sure which I'm going to use. I'm trying to get a bit more feedback on the FP.

Pockets aren't so deep that I'm getting everything done at once. Also, other than the trans rebuild I'm doing all the work myself which helps save some cash. I've recently sold two other projects I had going to help fund my DSM. This is not going without sacrifice and extra hours working. I'm not cutting corners on this car. I'm building it to be reliable that is why I'm over building the drive train. The only thing I'm going to stress is the stock block. I'm curious to see how far I can take it before she gives. I'll post soon a list of what I have already and what I'm waiting on.

Just a quick update. Decided against the ACT and went with South Bend SS PP and TZ Kevlar combo. Going to decide on the flywheel when I get her apart. Maybe just a resurface, if not I'll go with ACT chromoly street lite. Transmission will get a rebuild while out. I also order all new wheel bearing and hub assemblies (OEM).

Here is a rundown of what I still need to get.
-Link V3 (gonna try speed density)
-injectors (deciding on size)
-Cams (FP2 in. and ex.)
-valve train
-STM tank to rail and return kits
-Koni yellows
-Eibach pro kit
-RM sway bars

Here is what I got
-FP race manifold
-FP 68HTA
-Walbro 255
-rewire kit
-south bend SS pp and TZ disc
-OEM fork, fulcrum ball, TOB, extended slave rod
-PR FMIC
-AEM uego

Just a quick update of where I am at right now with my talon. I'm sure I forgot a few things. Any feedback or suggestions is welcome. I'll post some new pics in a day or two.

Anyone know of any nice dark bronze wheels in either 17x8 or 18x8 that work and look decent on a 2g? Any opinions are welcome.

Anyone? Still a few things I could use advice on before I start my build.
