K so I'm looking at two different spyders
both 99
Both same color blah blah blah
Difference is
There is an automatic GST
Or a manual GS
If I get the automatic GST how much does a 5spd swap cost and are there any bugs with them?
Or should I just get the manual GS and put a stronger clutch/flywheel and then add turbo later?

What's the problem with the automatic? There's a guy that lives close to me that has a nice 1st gen, he calls it the "automagik" and that thing is bad. The plus side to auto's is you don't loose boost between shifts. Looks like you already have a 1st gen as your "project" why not use an auto GST as a DD? Just a suggestion though, I don't like driving auto's either, but can't argue with the benefits. My DD atm is an auto 88 vw golf! Slow as balls but it does what I need it to :p!

On the flipside, it would be better buying the GST and converting it to manual than buying a GS and turboing it.

HAD that first gen as a project, Forgot to get a good valve job done and they were lifted somethin fierce. Anyway, cost isn't really the big problem I just wanted to know which would be cheaper, in case I got the automatic, but it was sold, looks like another turbo'd eclipse.
