2G 99 eclipse gs

Ok car is my brothers 99 eclipse gs. I'm doing the head gasket on it and I'm trying to find out how much it can be off without milling the head. I looked in a Chilton couldn't find it. Anyone that can help me out. The nearest machine shop that mills a head is over a hour away from me.

Typically less than .004" variance, but I like to see .002" or less with even corner heights (square). Also, no divets/dings.
