Whats going on.

I need ideas. I have a 4g69 engine. I have good compression and all my head seals are sealing as they should. I had excessive blow by, and replaced my PCV valve. Car was running amazing yesterday and this morning. Had max oil. Literally 10 mins from the house noticed car is running a bit rough, and when i got home noticed oil moisture around filler cap and min oil levels.

Any ideas? I'm at a loss and can't afford a proper diag

oil around filler cap. Checked compression, and took head back to shop to check seals. I opened my filler cap and had excessive air coming out

OIl is suppose to be around filler cap. Unless you're talking about outside. Check the gasket. When they get old they get hard like plastic. New gasket is soft and pliable. air coming out is not indicative of "excessive" blow by. Do a leakdown test and find out for sure. Are all vac lines hooked up? Valve cover vent etc.

Its alot of air.. like alot. Not just the normal amount. And its outside the cap. Its a year old cap from autozone. also got high oil consumption, but not alot of smoke from tail pipe.

Time to do a leakdown and find out where stuff is going.
