98 rs p0443

Ok so here is the same time old tale that everyone has with my 98 Eclipse RS, its a 2.0 and is giving the CEL P0443, so I am looking everywhere to find the purge control valve on my car, but for some weird reason all the engine bay shots of supposed 98 RS eclipse's have their engine compartments set up completely different than mine and its bone stock besides the fart can that came with it when I bought it.

I have tried looking under my battery plate, looked in the underside of the driver side bumper... but to no avail.
I have been searching and searching for 2 days now non stop, because I need to get this thing smogged and re-registered. I have searched the forums and found the same pics I keep seeing recycled over and over again... no its not on my firewall, no its not behind the drivers side bumper near the horn... I did notice a cylinder with 2 vacuum hoses on the passenger side behind the bumper with electrical hooked up to it tho, then there is this thing in the pics that has the nipple for a line but no line and I cant figure out/find any other nipples for where that line should be connecting.

this is where I found it hangin down by itself just with the elctronic connector on there no vacuum hose to be found

pulled back view of it so you can see that the battery is on the drivers (left) side and the basic location in the engine compartment.


Any ideas on where i can find this on my car. I live in Cali so no I cant just remove it as emissions testing is uber strict out here. I can replace the part easily I just need to find the dang thing. I'm new to the DSM community, and to the DSM vehicles. any and all help is appreciated.

Drivers side front bumper. The charcoal canister, test port, all there. Check all of the lines for breaks or pinches. You should see a vacuum T that has a built in check valve thats black and green that pulls from that stuff coming from the IM.

Hey bro I checked there and theres nothing there and no lines even leading that way I will take some pics of whats on the passenger (right hand) side, but I got nothing but a horn on the drivers side. I will take pics of that side as well. I'm at work right now so when I get a chance I will upload them. Any idea on where the line for that part I am holding in my hand in that pic should go to?
