Alright, I have a 98 GSX with the original ECU and a 95 GS Automatic with the stock ECU also.

My question is, can I send the 95s ECU off to dsmlink to have it socketed and then somehow put the 98 ECU in the 95? Is that even possible or am I retarded?

Solution
You'll need a 95 EPROM ECU to work with link and the one from your GS is configured for the 420A and not the 4G63. If you're looking for used ECU's contact Jeff Oberholtzer at [email protected] for a socketed version that you can use. Furthermore, since the GS ECU won't work in the GSX, the reverse is also true.

Sorry!

Thank you very much. I will contact him for sure. Thanks for the help Wiseman!

As long as it's a 2g 4g63 ecu, it will work in any 2g. You just have to switch the plug wires around.

Yes, but for him to run Link he needs an EPROM ECU and those are from the 95's only for the 2G's. You're absolutely correct about the plug wires though. The two outsides and two insides will need to be switched on the coil.
